University Counseling

On the basis of their criteria and choices, we help students with their applications to Belgian, European or other international universities.

At Montgomery International School university counseling is introduced to students in MYP 5 (grade 10). Their choice of studies at university must be compatible with the choice of courses chosen during the last cycle of study for the Diploma.

A yearly programme is in place, including presentations at school by representatives from worldwide universities (Boston University, Vesalius College, Edinburgh University, Thomas More College, Erasmus University, etc.). Additionally, students are encouraged to visit international higher education fairs, presentations on their choice of subject, and campus visits. 

There is further support in DP1 and DP2 as students start looking into universities. Assistance and counseling are offered in individual meetings with a counselor and small group sessions during the university application process.
